About the Supervisor:

Sally began her sandplay journey in 2010 and has been certified by the International Society for Sandplay Therapy (ISST) as a Certified Member in February 2021. She published two papers, (1) “The Closet in Sandplay Therapy” in Journal of Sandplay Therapy, Volume 30, No. 2, 2021; and (2) “The Image of the Well in Ming’s Sandplay Therapy” in Journal of Sandplay Therapy, Volume 34, No. 1, 2025.

Sally started to teach Sandplay Therapy with Jungian concepts in Cantonese with the topic of “Initial Tray: Clues to the Psyche” provided by Hong Kong Sandplay Therapy Association (HKSTA) in March 2019. Her case presentation of “The Closet in Sandplay Therapy: Incubation, Rebirth and Transformation” at the 26th International ISST Congress in Israel, highlighted a transformative case study involving 150 sand trays. Besides, she taught two classes, “Sandplay for children: Special attention to: Emotional Outbursts, Depression and Anxiety” in December 2025 and March 2026, for the Dutch Society for Sandplay Therapy (NVST), an ISST society member, and demonstrated the whole sandplay process with 44 sand trays created by a 6-year-old boy. In addition, she did a co-teaching with Ms. Carina Conradie with the topic of “The Hero’s Journey – Exploring the Archetype in Jungian Sandplay Therapy” provided by HKSTA and gave an in-depth case presentation of a long term complex adult woman with 55 sand trays applying the Heroine’s Journey stages.
