Code of Ethics
HKSTA complies with the code of ethics of ISST. In the event of a written complaint of an alleged breach in the code of ethics by an ISST-certified member, HKSTA will appoint three members to hear and investigate the complaint. The three members will not be affiliated with the accused member. HKSTA will inform the ISST Board of the complaint and report developments and outcomes related to the complaint. If the complaint cannot be resolved locally, HKSTA may request assistance from the ISST Board. (Article IX HKSTA Constitution)

Record Retention
The primary purpose of HKSTA record retention policy is to ensure the Association systematically maintains critical member data for the correct duration while legally and securely destroying it when it is no longer needed.

This policy balances operational needs, legal requirements, and data privacy protections.

Personal Information Collection Statement
The Hong Kong Sandplay Therapy Association ("HKSTA", "the Association") will use the personal data provided to the Association for:

Processing and assessing applications for CST-T, CST, Associate Member, or Affiliate Member categories per HKSTA Constitution Article IV

Verifying eligibility against specific pre-qualification requirements for each membership category

Maintaining membership records and professional directory (CST-T, CST, Associate only, with consent)

Arranging Association activities, workshops, supervision, and professional development

Personal data may be disclosed only to HKSTA Executive Committee members, engaged service providers handling membership administration, relevant professional bodies (ISST), or where required/permitted by law. Data will be retained only as long as necessary to fulfil these purposes, then deleted or anonymised.
